DRIVER GRADE IV Ref: TUN/AD/79/09/24
Reports to: Section Head
Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for driving university vehicles.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness.
• Ensure adherence to traffic rules and regulations while driving university vehicles.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure that university vehicles are in good working condition.
• Report any vehicle defects to the immediate supervisor.
• Ensure work- tickets are duly authorized.
• Observe vehicle preventive maintenance
• Be prepared to respond to emergencies while on duty, including providing first aid assistance and contacting emergency services if necessary.
•  Any other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Academic/Professional Requirement

For appointment to this grade, the candidate must have:

• K.C.S.E certificate
• Driving license class D3 endorsement
• Possess PSV badge
• Passed suitability test for Drivers
• Must have undergone defensive driving training in the last two years
• Relevant safety training programs will be considered an added advantage
• Exemplary work performance
• Experience: 3 years experience as a driver II or equivalent
